Robi introduces ‘Axiata Roam’ in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Mobile phone operator Robi Axiata Limited has launched ‘Axiata Roam’ to facilitate travellers with a big slash in their roaming bills.

Under the new move, Robi customers travelling abroad will only pay local rates for calling home, without worrying about roaming call charges when travelling within Axiata’s network of mobile operators in Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Cambodia.

This plan will see roaming call rates slashed by up to 90 per cent, a company announcement said, adding that this promotion would be valid for three months, until January 31, 2011.
