Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The 24th annual general meeting (AGM) of Rupali Insurance Company Limited was held recently at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital Dhaka.
Chairman of the company Mostafa Golam Quddus presided over the meeting.
A large number of shareholders were present in the AGM. The shareholders unanimously approved a stock dividend of 20 per cent per share of BDT 10.00 each to the shareholders of the company for the year 2011 as recommended by the board of directors.
The chairman appreciated the management of the company for good performance during the year 2011, a company press statement said.
It was reported that the company earned BDT 97.0 million as profit before tax. After transfer of BDT 35.00 million to the reserve fund and BDT 20.00 million to income tax, the company declared 20 percent stock dividend for the year 2011.
