Russia keen to import garment from Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Russia is keen to import Readymade Garment (RMG) from Bangladesh, Ambassador of Russian Federation to Bangladesh Alexander A Nikolaev said on Friday.
“The apparel sector has developed in Bangladesh with enormous potentials and there is ample scope to export garments to Russia from here”, said Russian envoy.
The Russian ambassador was speaking while visiting RMM Knit Clothing and Sweater Factory at Aliganj in Narayanganj this morning.
The European Union (EU) member countries also can import garment goods from
Bangladesh as per their demand, said the Russian envoy.
The ambassador also visited different sections of the apparel outfit and expressed satisfaction over the modern equipment in use and security system of the factory.
Mahiuddin Ahamed, chairman of the RMM Knit Clothing and Sweater Factory, and its managing director Anirudda Roy were present.
