SAARC seed fair begins in Dhaka Sunday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– A two-day SAARC seed congress and fair begins at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital Dhaka on Sunday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be present as chief guest at the inaugural program. Agriculture Ministry, Bangladesh Seed Association, and SAARC Seed Forum will jointly organize the fair.

The seed congress and fair is being organized as part of the SAARC regional effort to strengthen the food security among the nations through development of seed industries, said Anwar Faruque, convenor of SAARC Seed Forum and director general of Seed Wing of Agriculture Ministry.
