Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- A television journalist couple who were killed in their city flat, was laid to eternal rest at Azimpur Graveyard at 8.45 pm on Saturday.
Family members, colleagues and well-wishers of the couple were present during the burial at Azimpur.
Before the burial, three separate namaz-e-janaza were held at different places including Dhaka Reporters' Unity (DRU), Massranga Television compound and ATN Bangla channel premises. Hundreds of journalists, political leaders and representatives of professional organisations joined the janaza.
The first Namaz-e-Janaza was held on DRU premises at about 4:00 pm.

Among others, General Secretary of Awami Sechchhasebok League Pankaj Devnath and AL leader Mrinal Kanti Das were present at the DRU.
Police said unknown miscreants stabbed indiscriminately Sagar and Meherun to death on the spot after 2:00 am at their apartment no-A/4, house no-58/A/2, Indira Road under Sher-e- Bangla Nagar police station.
They said the killers stabbed Sarwar at least 20 times at different parts of his body and then confirmed his death by cutting his throat while Runi was stabbed twice. Sagar hands and legs were found tied at the top floor of the five-storied apartment at West Rajabazar in Dhaka.
The couple left behind their only five-year-old son Mahir Sarowar Megh, who was in sleeping in an adjacent room during the murder.
Home Minster Sahara Khatun visited the spot and said law enforcement agencies were ordered to arrest the killers in the double murder in 48 hours while police said four teams already launched investigations into the murders.
Information Minister Abul Kalam Azad, Inspector General of Police Hasan Mahmood Khandker, BNP's acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University AAMS Arefin Siddique and CEO of Massranga TV channel Syed Fahim Munaim visited the Razabazar residence.
Doctors at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital who carried out the autopsy said they suspected that no professional killer murdered the couple while police said they initially detained four people for questioning.
"We are laying highest priority to track down the perpetrators of this heinous crime," police commissioner of Dhaka Benajir Ahmed told reporters.
Terming the killing as mysterious, he said the police will also investigate the matter seriously and bring the killers to book.
