Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The government has included undershirt, locally known as sando-genji, in the list of products eligible for cash incentives for this fiscal year (FY), 2019-20.
The sando-genji exporters will receive cash incentives at 4.0 per cent against the net repatriation of the free-on-board (FOB) prices of their products, effective between July 01, 2019 and June 30, 2020, according to a notification, issued by the central bank on Sunday.
Talking to the BBN, a senior official of the Bangladesh Bank (BB) said the central bank has announced such cash incentive against the undershirt in line with the government’s advice.
Such incentives might help increase export of the products to the international market, he added.
Earlier, the government announced cash incentives against the export of products under 37 categories, including 1.0 per cent additional special incentive for readymade garment products, for FY ’20.
