Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the Dhaka University authorities to hold a fresh admission test for ‘Ga’ unit by December 21 this year.

The SC also stayed an HC order that had directed the DU authorities to re-evaluate the answer sheets of the ‘Ga’ unit admission test of the university, The Daily Star, a local newspaper, reported.

An eight-member full bench of the Appellate Division headed by Chief Justice Md Mozammel Hossain passed the orders acting upon the DU authorities’ petition challenging the High Court order for re-evaluation of answer sheets of this year’s ‘Ga’ unit test.

No fresh applicants but only those who had taken part in the examinations held earlier will be allowed to participate in the test, the Appellate Division ordered on the day.

The court issued an order barring Professor Jamal Uddin, the dean of Faculty of Business Studies, from being involved in the admission test process, according to the newspaper report.

The SC upheld the HC order that had directed the DU authorities to investigate the anomalies in the question paper of the ‘Ga’ unit admission test held earlier.

It also ordered to find out the people responsible for the anomalies.
