SEC forms another probe committee

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) formed another investigation committee on Tuesday to investigate unusual trading activity by Sinha Securities Limited.
Earlier, the SEC also formed three enquiry committee to investigate ‘certain unusual trading’ in shares of listed securities by LankaBangla Securities, Royal Capital Limited and Rapid Securities.
 
The two member committee is SEC director Prodip Kumar Basak and assistance director Jahurul Haque and asked them to submit the report within five working days.
The market monitoring steps by the SEC and the DSE have helped the investors to regain some confidence, an expert said.
