Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has formed a two-member enquiry committee to investigate into ‘certain unusual trading’ of listed securities by LankaBangla Securities Limited, officials said.
 
The SEC decided to investigate Sunday’s trading of LankaBangla Securities for the sake of the investors, as the regulator has found information on unusual trading of shares of some companies by the house, said a SEC official.
 
SEC deputy director Ohidul Islam and assistant director Iqbal Hossain have been assigned with the task of probing into unusual trading of some listed securities by LankaBangla Securities, and submit report within next seven working days.
 
News posted on the DSE website said, “The SEC has formed an enquiry committee to investigate into certain unusual trading in shares of listed securities on 13 May, 2012 by LankaBangla Securities Limited.”
 
Earlier, on February 8, the securities regulator also formed a two-member enquiry committee to investigate into ‘certain unusual trading’ of listed securities by LankaBangla Securities Limited.
