Senior StanChart official arrives in Bangladesh Sunday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Jan Verplancke, group chief information officer of Standard Chartered Bank, is scheduled to arrive in the capital Dhaka on Sunday for a two-day official visit.

During his second visit to Bangladesh, Verplancke is expected to meet the senior government officials, clients, stakeholders and staff of the bank, the bank statement said on Saturday.

He will be accompanied by Matthew Norris, chief information officer for India and South Asia, the statement added.

Prior to joining Standard Chartered Bank in 2004, Verplancke was the chief information officer at Dell.

Verplancke also worked with Levis Strauss.
