Mumbai, India (BBN)-A benchmark index of Indian equities markets, the 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex), on Friday was trading 77.74 points or 0.27 percent down as auto stocks fell.
The wider 50-scrip Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also trading 30.25 points or 0.35 per cent down at 8,604.40 points, reports The Hindu.
The Sensex of the S&P Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 28,465.44 points, was trading at 28,391.93 points (at 9.18 a.m.) in the early session, down 77.74 points or 0.27 percent from the previous day’s close at 28,469.67 points.
The Sensex has touched a high of 28,484.36 points and a low of 28,374.43 points in the trade so far.
Heavy selling pressure was seen in auto, banking and fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors, while good buying spree was seen in healthcare sector.
