New Delhi, India (BBN)-The benchmark BSE Sensex rose over 53 points in the opening trade on Tuesday on sustained buying by investors.
The 30-share index rose 53.54 points to 27,902.53, with IT, technology, consumer durables, healthcare, auto, metal and capital sector stocks leading the rise, reports the Press Trust of India.
On similar lines, the NSE Nifty was up 11.95 points at 8,445.35.
Among other Asian markets, Japan’s Nikkei was trading higher by 0.17 per cent while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index shed 0.45 per cent in early trade.
The U.S. Dow Jones industrial average ended 0.16 per cent higher in Monday’s trade.
