New Delhi, India (BBN)-The Indian benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty are likely to open lower in rades on Wednesday tracking subdued global cues.
The Nifty which is traded on the Singapore stock exchange, SGX Nifty was down 6 points at 8,269, reports NDTV.
The Asian share markets paused near seven-year peaks on Wednesday while investors exited crowded positions in the US dollar as the Federal Reserve wraps up a two-day policy meeting.
The Hang Seng was down 0.8 per cent and China's Shanghai Composite fell nearly 2 per cent.
Overnight, Two of three major U.S. stock indexes rose modestly on Tuesday as Merck posted strong earnings and IBM raised its dividend, while European stocks slid on weak corporate results and oil prices were flat to lower on expectations that US crude stockpiles have reached record highs.
The Dow Jones industrial average closed up 72.17 points, or 0.4 per cent, at 18,110.14.
The S&P 500 closed up 5.84 points, or 0.28 per cent, at 2,114.76. The Nasdaq Composite closed down 4.82 points, or 0.1 per cent, at 5,055.42.

The company reported net profit of Rs 941 crore on revenue of Rs 8,422 crore which was better than what the Street had estimated.
HDFC: HDFC will be announcing its results later in the day. Analysts expect the mortgage lender to report net profit of Rs 1,829 crore and the net interest income of Rs 2,141 crore.
MARUTI SUZUKI: Maruti Suzuki plans to launch a five-seater sports utility vehicle in FY16.
RELIANCE COMMUNICATION: RCOM plans to launch 4G services in Gujarat.

KALPATARU POWER: The company has bagged order worth Rs 765 crore.
