Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- The holy Shab-e-Meraj will be observed on June 6 as the moon of the Rajab month of Hijri 1434 was sighted in the country on Saturday.
The National Moon Sighting Committee confirmed the moon sighting at a meeting held at the conference room of Islamic Foundation.
Chaired by secretary of the Religious Affairs Ministry and vice president of the committee Kazi Habibul Awal, the meeting was attended, among others, by Principal Information Officer Aminul Islam, director general of Islamic Foundation Shamim Mohammad Afzal, Khatib of National Mosque Baitul Mukarram Maulana Mohammad Salah Uddin.
