Canberra, Australia (BBN)-Shakib Al-Hasan, the ace all-rounder, made history Wednesday after being the first Bangladeshi cricketer to score 4,000 runs ODI milestone.
Shakib made the milestone while playing against World Cup debut Afghanistan in their opening match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in Canberra of Australia.
Cricket fans across the world greeted the Bangladeshi cricketer through different social media including Facebook and Twitter after the feat.
Shakib also scored a half century in the match.
This was his fourth World Cup fifty with 27th overall.
