Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Abu Sadek Md Sohel has been promoted to the post of additional managing director of Social Investment Bank Limited (SIBL), the bank said in a press statement.
Prior to his promotion, Mr Sohel was the deputy managing director of the same bank from September 22, 2005.
He became DMD of the bank on July 25, 2005 while he was in Agrani Bank.
Mr Sohel began his banking career by joining Sonali Bank as senior officer in 1977. He served the bank in various capacities until April 3, 2001.
He became general manager (GM) on April 4, 2001 and served Bangladesh Krishi Bank for one year and Agrani Bank for three years as GM.
He attended different overseas trade seminars in Hong Kong, Bangkok, Frankfurt, Shanghai, Paris and Kathmandu, according to the statement.
