Singer Bangladesh declares 40pc dividend

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - The board of directors of Singer Bangladesh Ltd has declared 40 percent interim cash dividend for the year ending on December 31, 2015, said an official disclosure on Wednesday.
The company declared the interim dividend based on audited financial statements for the period ended on September 30 in 2015, the disclosure added.
The record date for entitlement of interim dividend is on November 17.
The board has also approved additional 33.85 percent equity participation in International Appliances Ltd (IAL), a joint venture private limited company that will manufacture refrigerators, deep freezers & other appliances.
The total investment in IAL shall stand 73.85 per cent.
There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company today following its corporate declaration.
