Six held with BDT 10 million fake currency

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Detective Branch (DB) of police nabbed six persons with fake currency worth BDT 10 million from different areas of the capital from Thursday afternoon to early Friday.
Police also recovered a laptop and a printer those were used to produce fake notes, said Masudur Rahman, additional deputy commissioner of DMP (detective branch-media), at a press briefing at DMP Media Centre in Dhaka on Friday.
Acting on tip-off, the detectives conducted raids in several areas including Motijheel, Mugda and Mirpur and arrested them until Friday morning.
This was a part of activities of the law enforcers ahead of the Eid to control the overall law and order situation in the capital, the DB official added.
