Socks open with negative mode

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Stocks were traded negative on Monday with persistent sluggish turnover, market operators said.
In first half an hour of trade, the benchmark Dhaka Stock Exchange General Index, DGEN, fell 11.44 points or 0.27 percent to 4152.29. It rose slightly two points in the previous session.
Turnover stood at BDT 119 million. So far issues traded, 34 gained, 81 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
On Sunday, DGEN gained 2.86 points or 0.06 per cent to 4163.73. The All Shares Price Index, DSI, was up 2.86 points or 0.08 per cent to 3528.57.
