Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – SoftExpo-2011 will begin in the capital Dhaka from Tuesday, organizers said.
The five-day software carnival will be held for the ninth time this year at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka.
With the theme ‘Digital Bangladesh in Action’, the SoftExpo-2011 is going to take place with the participation of different companies from home and abroad.
A total of 110 local companies will display their latest products and services during the show, while 10 foreign companies from Europe will participate paving the way for the globally-renowned ICT companies to be aware further about the local market, make arrangements for outsourcing opportunities in the city and help bring in foreign direct investment (FDI) in Bangladesh’s booming digital economy.
Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith is likely to inaugurate the occasion as the chief guest at 11:00am on the day.
Commerce Minister M Faruk Khan and State Minister for Science & ICT Yeafes Osman will attend as special guests at the expo, organized by Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS).
The SoftExpo1 will remain open from 10:00am to 8:00pm everyday. Entry fee has been fixed at BDT 30.
