Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Four deputy general managers of the state-owned Sonali Bank Ltd (SBL) have recently been promoted as its general mangers.
They are: Amin Uddin Ahammad, Toriqul Islam Chowdhury, Mozibor Rahman and AFM Ali Asgar. 
They have already joined the new posts at Comilla GM Office, Faridpur GM Office, Sylhet GM Office and Rangpur GM Office respectively.
Mr Ahammad, who obtained honours degree from the Department of Botany of Dhaka University (DU), started his banking-career as the probationary officer of Sonali Bank in 1983. 
Mr Chowdhury obtained B.Com (honours) and M.Com degrees from the DU and joined the Sonali Bank as its financial analyst in 1984.
Mr Rahman joined the SBL in 1976. Earlier, he achieved hounours degree from the Department of Economics under DU.
While Mr Asgar obtained honours degree from the agricultural economics department under Bangladesh Agricultural University in Mymensingh and joined the Sonali Bank as probationary officer (agriculture) in 1980.
After joining the SBL, they served duties in different vital posts of the country’s largest commercial bank.
