Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – SM Abdul Mannan has recently joined Sonar Bangla Insurance Limited as managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO), the company said.
Prior to this position, Mr Mannan served Bangladesh National Insurance Company Limited as managing director for eight years. Besides, he was managing director (cc) of Standard Insurance Company Limited for more than two years.
Mr Mannan started his insurance career in Sadharan Bima Corporation in 1981 and served UM, R/I and Claims department till 1989. He was born in 1953 at village Tamai under Belkuchi Upazila in Sirajganj.
He obtained the BA (Hons) and MA degrees in Economics from the Rajshahi University in 1973 and 1974 respectively.
