Special tickets for Eid holidaymakers from Sept 15

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh Railway authorities will begin selling the special train tickets from September 15 for Eid holidaymakers.

The railway authorities will also provide several special train services across the country so that the holidaymakers could enjoy a hassle-free journey during the rush of Eid-ul-Azha.

Under the arrangement, thousands of advanced tickets will be sold till September 19 from different counters at the Kamalapur Railway Station.

Railways Minister Muzibul Haque Chunnu made the declaration at Railway Bhaban in Dhaka on Thursday.

According to the calendar, the three-day Eid holiday is due to begin from September 24.

A person will be able to buy maximum four tickets.

The holidaymakers who want to travel on September 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24 will have to buy tickets on September 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 respectively.

Return tickets will also be available at Chittagong, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Lalmonirhat and Dinajpur railway stations.
