Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Square Pharmaceuticals dominated the week’s top turnover chart last week on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) that ended on Thursday.
A total of 7.71 million share worth BDT 2.12 billion changing hands last week. Daily average turnover for the company was BDT 425.18 million.

The week’s closing price of Square Pharma share was BDT 279.6, registering an increase of 5.50 per cent over the previous week. A market lot is 10 shares.

Of the total shares – 54.21 percent held by sponsor-directors, 10.34 percent held by institutional investors, foreign investors held by 15.05 percent while 20.4 percent share held by public, according to DSE website.

The company listed in the Dhaka bourse – DSE in 1995. The company is belonging to the Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals sector under the category of ‘A’.

The company disbursed 30 percent cash dividend and 15 percent stock dividend for the year ended on March 31, 2014. The company also reported NAV of BDT 22,277.52 million, EPS of BDT 8.36 and NOCFPS of BDT 12.90 for the year ended on March 31, 2014.

It was followed by MJL BD worth BDT 2.02 billion, GP BDT 1.56 billion, Titas Gas BDT 1.47 billion, Delta Life Insurance worth BDT 1.24 billion, Summit Power BDT 1.06 billion, Beximco BDT 978.28 million, Beximco Pharma BDT 950.32 million, KPCL BDT 890.21 million and DESCO worth BDT 840.06 million changing hands last week.
