Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Square Pharmaceuticals’ net profit grew by 7.04 percent in first half (April’14 to September’14) compared to the same period last year, according to official disclosure on Sunday.
As per un-audited half yearly accounts as on September 30, 2014, the company has reported consolidated net profit after tax (excluding non-controlling interests) of BDT 2,692.67 million with consolidated EPS of BDT 4.86 as against BDT 2,515.49 million and BDT 4.54 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
The pharmaceutical company also reported consolidated net profit after tax (excluding non-controlling interests) was BDT 1,303.78 million with consolidated EPS of BDT 2.35 for the period of 3 months (July’14 to Sep’14) ended on 30 September.2014 as against BDT 1,183.65 million and BDT 2.14 respectively for the same period of the previous year.
The week’s closing price of Square Pharma share was BDT 277.2 on Sunday. A market lot is 10 shares.
Of the total shares – 54.21 percent held by sponsor-directors, 10.34 percent held by institutional investors, foreign investors held by 15.05 percent while 20.4 percent share held by public, according to DSE website.
The company listed in the Dhaka bourse – DSE in 1995. The company is belonging to the Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals sector under the category of ‘A’.
The company disbursed 30 percent cash dividend and 15 percent stock dividend for the year ended on March 31, 2014. The company also reported NAV of BDT 22,277.52 million, EPS of BDT 8.36 and NOCFPS of BDT 12.90 for the year ended on March 31, 2014.
