Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Square Textiles Limited declared 20 percent cash and 10 percent stock dividend for the year ended December 31, 2013.
The disclosure was made during the company’s 19th Annual General Meeting held at the Factory Premises in Kashimpur of Gazipur on Monday, said an office disclosure.
The company also reported gross profit, net profit (before tax) and net profit (after tax) for the year 2013 which are BDT 948.72 million, BDT 696.78 million and BDT 587.78 million respectively.
The company contributed an amount of BDT 122.63 million to the national exchequer.
It contributed substantially to the foreign exchange reserve of the country through its marketing operation during 2013.
This amounted to BDT 1,746.94 million, the office disclosure said.
The board of directors appreciates the performance of the officers, staff and workers whose untiring efforts helped to optimise the profit of the company.
The directors expressed their gratitude and acknowledged with keen interest the co-operation and unflinching support received from various agencies including Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission, Stock Exchanges, National Board of Revenue and other agencies of the public and private sector.
Shareholders attended the AGM and many of them took part in the discussion regarding company’s performance and future expansion.
At the end Tapan Chowdhury on behalf of the chairman, expressed his deep appreciation to shareholders for their trust and support to the company’s performance.
