Sri Lankan company to invest $14 million in Bangladesh

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - M/s Brandix Apparel Bangladesh Limited, a Sri Lankan leading company, will set up a Garments Manufacturing Industry in Comilla Export Processing Zone of Bangladesh.
This fully foreign owned company will invest about $14 million in setting up its unit and manufacture all kinds of garments items, an announcement said, adding that company will also create employment opportunity for 2377 Bangladeshi nationals.
An agreement to this effect was signed between the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority and M/s Brandix Apparel Bangladesh Limited at BEPZA Complex in the capital Dhaka on Wednesday.
Moyjuddin Ahmed, Member (Investment Promotion) of BEPZA, and Ajit Joseph Johnpillai, Managing Directoi of M/s Brandix Apparel Bangladesh Limited, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.
