Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The results of this year’s Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will be published on May 11, a senior official said on Monday.
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid will hand over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the morning on the day, the official said, adding that the minister will unveil the results formally at a press briefing at his office at noon.
This year, some 1,651,523 students participated in the examinations in 3,143 centres.
Beginning on February 1 the written examinations ended on March 8 while the practical tests were held from 9 to 14 March.
Earlier on April 20, Dhaka Education Board sent a proposal to the ministry for publishing the SSC results on May 10 or 11.
For the last six years, the results for the SSC, HSC and equivalent exams are being published within two months after the exams.
