Stakeholders sit Sunday evening to revive stock market

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – The stakeholders will sit Sunday evening to discuss the proposed package to revamp the country’s stock market.

The meeting will be held at 6:30 pm in the capital’s National Economic Council with Finance Minister AMA Muhith in the chair, officials said.

The market stakeholders include chairman of Securities and Exchange Commission, presidents of Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange, governor of the Bangladesh Bank, chairman of Pubali Bank Limited, president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), chairman of Standard Bank Limited, chairmen of Association of Banks, Bangladesh (ABB) and Bangladesh Insurance Association and managing director of Investment Corporation of Bangladesh.
