Standard Chartered CEO for Asia to arrive in Bangladesh Sunday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Standard Chartered Bank Chief Executive Officer (Asia) Jaspal Singh Bindra will arrive in Dhaka on an official visit in Bangladesh.

He will be accompanied by the bank's Regional Chief Executive for India and South Asia Neeraj Swaroop, a Standard Chartered press statement said in Dhaka on Saturday.

During the visit, Mr Jaspal will be reviewing Standard Chartered's business and strategies in Bangladesh. He will meet senior officials of the government; interact with staff and clients of the bank.

Jaspal Singh joined Standard Chartered Bank in 1998 and was appointed its director in August 2007. In addition, he is also a member of the group management committee.

As CEO for Asia, his responsibilities are to develop strategy, drive stronger regulatory and government relations, address governance issues and monitor performance.
