Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) launched Saadiq Platinum Card recently which combines a whole new world of convenience and privileges.
This product has been launched to meet the unique needs and concerns and to provide Shariah-compliant solutions to customers. The 0% Instabuys facility for all Saadiq Credit Card customers was also launched.
Mr. Afaq Khan, Chief Executive Officer – Islamic Banking of Standard Chartered handed over the first Saadiq Platinum Card to Mr Aminul Islam who is a long vintage customer of Standard Chartered and later shifted to Islamic Banking because of the Islamic offers provided by Standard Chartered Saadiq.
Mr Sandeep Bose, Head of Consumer Banking, Mr Saniyat Rahman, General Manager – Islamic Banking and Mr Gitanka Datta, Head of Credit Card was also present during the occasion.
Standard Chartered Saadiq has rolled out over 250 products and solutions across both consumer and wholesale banking.
During the process, Standard Chartered Saadiq has received over 85 awards, including being voted the “Best Sukuk House” by Euromoney Awards 2012, and the “Best Islamic Project Finance House” & “Islamic Loan House of the Year” by The Asset Triple A Awards 2012.
Afaq Khan, CEO of Standard Chartered – Islamic Banking has been individually awarded the prestigious Euromoney award for “Outstanding Contribution to Islamic Finance” in 2010 and also named the “2010 Islamic Banker of the Year” in the London Sukuk Summit.
