Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) – Trading of country’s two stock exchanges resumes on Sunday after a nine-day vacation on account of holy Eidul-Fitr.

The last trading on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) took place August 25 last.

The markets showed an upward trend in last two trading days before the vacation following a regulatory measure to convert the face-value of their shares and units of all listed companies and mutual funds into BDT 10 each by November 30, 2011.

However, experts have advised investors not to take into account the share splitting as price sensitive information because the splitting does not add anything to company fundamentals.
