Bangladesh’s stocks mostly lower in midday trading

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Bangladesh’s stocks were trading mostly lower amid thin trade in midday trading on Monday.
The market opened lower in the morning and saw volatility till midday trading. The volume of trade remained very low, indicating that investors were wary about the present market situation.
At 12 noon, the benchmark index of Dhaka Stock Exchange DSEX edged 0.7 point lower to 5,454.
The DS30 index, comprising blue chips, was down about three points or 0.20 per cent to 2,029. The DSE Shariah Index DSES shed over one point to 1,262.
On the other hand, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Category Index CSCX lost nearly 17 points to 10,228.
Of the issues so far traded on DSE, 106 declined, 109 advanced and 75 remained unchanged.
