Stocks open with positive mode

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): The prices of most of the stocks are in the rising trend on Sunday, the last trading day of the year-2012.

Started with a steep rise, the prime index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange stands at 4,232.55 points, gaining 27.42 points or 0.65 within first 30 minutes of trading.

Turnover value stands at BDT 210 million till the report was filed at about 11 am.

Of the issues traded, 127 advanced, 14 declined and 13 remained unchanged.

United Airways topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 34 million changing hands.

Earlier, on Thursday, the DGEN gained 25 points.
