Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Stocks trading on the bourses started with a mixed trend on Sunday, the opening day of the week.
The benchmark General Index, the gauge of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, gained 5.05 points within first 20 minutes then it stands at 4,163.99 points, after losing 3.06 points at about 11.15am when the report was filed.
Turnover is slow on the premier bourse and stood at only BDT 144.72 million till the report was filed at 11.15am.
Of the issues traded, 65 advanced, 66 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
United Airways topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 15.56 million changing hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with negative trend and the Selective Category Index of the CSE stands at 8,068.21 points after losing 10.78 points within first 45 minutes of trading.
On Thursday, trading at the country’s premier bourse finished 4,167.06 points after gaining 34 points.
