Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Share prices at the country’s both bourses — Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed volatility in early hours of trading on Thursday amid countrywide hartal.
The DSE general index, DGEN gained only 3.41 points or 0.08 per cent to reach 4,230 points at 11.10am. Of the issues traded till then, 94 advanced, 50 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
Turnover stood at BDT 407 million till the report was filed at 11.10am.
Newly listed Sunlife Insurance topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 112 million changing hands till then.
The Chittagong Stock Exchange key index, CSCX also gain only 4.57 points to stand at 8,210.79 points also at 11.10am. Of the issues traded then, 43 advanced, 28 declined and 10 remained unchanged till then.
