Bangladesh's stocks open with positive mode

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN): Share prices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) opened with a positive note in early hours of trading on Wednesday amid countrywide hartal.

The DSE general index, DGEN gained 17.78 points or 0.41 per cent to reach 4,327.04 points at 10.45am. Of the issues traded till then, 111 advanced, 19 declined and 13 remained unchanged.

Turnover stood at BDT 190.36 million till the report was filed at 10.45am.

United Airways topped the turnover chart with shares worth BDT 36.78 million changing hands till then.

The Chittagong Stock Exchange key index, CSCX also gained 38.68 points or 0.44 per cent to stand at 8,355 points also at 10.45am. Of the issues traded then, 45 advanced, 5 declined and 15 remained unchanged till then.
