Sur Chowdhury elected APRACA chairman

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor SK Sur Chowdhury has been elected as chairman of the Asia Pacific Rural and Agricultural Credit Association (APRACA).

Mr. Chowdhury was the vice-chairman of APRACA, an organization of 21 countries. He will replace APRACA's current chairman Kim Bada.

Earlier, the 19th general assembly of APRACA was held at a city hotel. Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman attended it as chief guest.

A total of 110 representatives from 16 countries and two observer countries attended the assembly.
