Tongi, Bangladesh- A fire broke out at a apparel factory at Sataish road in Tongi industrial area of Bangladesh on Saturday afternoon, police said.
The fire originated at FS Sweaters Limited that is housed on the fourth floor of Chaity Complex around 4:30pm (local time), a local police official said. "Soon the flame spread to other floors of the building. But, the fire service team rushed in and dowsed the flame.”
The police official also said cause of the fire and casualty could not be known immediately.
Mohammad Selim, station officer of Tongi Fire Service and Civil Defence, said six units from Tongi and Gazipur, Kurmitola fire services rushed to the spot to douse the flame. “The fire was brought under control around 6:30pm.”
