Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Technical glitch forced the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) to suspend trading for the second consecutive day on Monday.
“Trading start timing (10:30am) is being delayed due to technical problems. Trading start time will be communicated later once the technical problem is resolved,” said a DSE web post on Monday.
DSE officials said that the DSE IT Department is working to resolve the technical problem. “As soon as the problems are resolved, trading will resume on the premier bourse,” a DSE official told the BBN.

According to DSE officials, some brokerage houses could not upload files on DSE server that forced the prime bourse of the country to halt the share trading.
On Sunday, a major technical glitch delayed trade on the DSE for nearly four hours and trading started at 2:20pm and continued till 4:00pm.
Share transactions usually started at 10:30am and closed at 2:30pm in every working day.
DSE trading remained suspended till filling the report at 11:10am.
Meanwhile, the port city bourse – the CSE – opened on time and its Selective Category Index – CSCX – rose 54.13 points to stand at 8,512.48 points, also at 10:55am.
Of the issues traded till then, 56 gained, 35 declined and 10 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 110 million.
