Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has remained suspended since Sunday morning due to a technical glitch in the server of the prime bourse of Bangladesh.

The technical hiccup was continuing when this report was updated at 12noon.

DSE officials told the BBN that brokerage houses could not re-log the server of the DSE since the market opened at 10:30am.

Share transactions usually started at 10:30am and closed at 2:30pm in every working day.

DSE officials said that the DSE IT Department was working to solve the problem.

“As soon as the problems are resolved, trading will resume on the premier bourse,” a DSE official told the BBN.

DSEX, the benchmark index of the DSE, rose 27.70 points to close at 4,483.28 points on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the port city bourse – the CSE opened on time and the and its Selective Category Index – CSCX – rose 22.42 points to stand at 8,480.33 points, at 11:00am.

Of the issues traded till then, 47 gained, 35 declined and 10 remained unchanged with a turnover value of Tk 118 million.
