Thai food festival begins in Bangladesh’s capital

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- A seven-day Thai food festival and cultural show began at Sonargaon Hotel in the capital Dhaka on Wednesday. 
The three-day ‘Thai Trade Show 2012’ that will begin on Thursday was also inaugurated simultaneously. 
Commerce Minister GM Quader and Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Faruk Khan jointly inaugurated both the events Wednesday evening. 
Thai Trade Centre and Thai Airways International, Dhaka jointly organized the show in association with the hotel.
Charge d’ Affaires of the Thai Embassy in Dhaka Suwapong Sirison and Director of Thai Trade Centre Usa Wijarun were, among others, present at the function. 
A team of professional Thai chefs from Bangkok will prepare Thai cuisine at the food festival to bring in the real flavours of Thailand.
Some of the exclusive dishes in the extended menu are Tom yam soup, mixed vegetable and sour soup with shrimp, green chicken curry, and sautéed beef with red curry. A group of Thai dancers will also perform Thai dance every day.
