Thai premier arrives in Bangladesh Friday

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN) - Dhaka is set to roll out the red carpet for Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra who is due to arrive in the capital Dhaka on Friday with a high-profile 108-member government and business delegation on her maiden tour of Bangladesh.
Shinawatra will hold talks with the Bangladesh premier on Saturday while the two countries were expected to sign two memorandums of understanding during the two-day visit, officials said.
Five members of the Thai cabinet would accompany the 45-year-old first Thai women premier while the number of the business leaders is 30, who will join a meeting with the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) on Saturday.
The FBCCI will seek duty-free access of our products to Thai market to reduce the huge trade gap, a FBCCI director said, adding that the current $1billion trade volume is largely tilted towards Thailand.
