London, UK (BBN)-You've heard about long engagements - but have you heard of a long, very long, proposal?
It's also one of the most well thought-out and executed proposals ever and before you think the unusual length owes itself to dithering on the part of the man proposing, read on, reports the NDTV.
Ray Smith from Grimsby, United Kingdom, discreetly proposed to his pregnant partner Claire Bramley each and every day for 148 days.
Smith took pictures of himself asking Brambly to marry him via a note which she couldn't see but the camera could.
He did this every day for almost six months, while she remained completely oblivious.
A video, uploaded by Smith on YouTube, has gone viral with over 2.1 million views.
It shows each day's proposal through the picture clicked on that day, put together in a montage.
Even though most of the pictures include Brambley, she seems completely unaware of said proposals.
It also includes their respective sons, other family members, friends and co-workers helping him pop the question to her.
"I had no clue, I was totally oblivious to it all," Brambley told Metro.co.uk.
"He told me he was taking the pictures to create memories for the baby so I just let him get on with it."
"It was hard work not getting caught. I took numerous photos in case she asked to see them and I'd showed her which ones I wanted," Smith explained on YouTube.
He began proposing on July 31, 2014 until actually asking her on December 25 last year.
"It was all a bit chaotic on Christmas Day morning with the kids playing so I took her away and set it all up on the laptop. I got down on one knee and gave her a bit of spiel, and then popped the question," he told Grimsby Telegraph.
