Three-day apparel expo begins in Chittagong Thursday

Chittagong, Bangladesh (BBN)- A three-day Chittagong Apparel Fabric and Accessories Exposition (CAFAXPO-2011) organized by the BGMEA started on Thursday in the port city.

LGRD and Cooperatives Minister Syed Ashraful Islam MP will formally inaugurate the exposition as the chief guest at the CJKS Indoor Stadium of MA Aziz Stadium Thursday morning, the organizers said.

The function will be attended by the chairman of parliamentary standing committee on jute and textile ministry Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury MP and city Mayor M Manjur Alam as the special guests.

Former minister of commerce Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury will deliver his address as the chief guest on the concluding ceremony on January 22 while Jafrul Islam Chowdhury MP will attend it as a special guest.
