Three held over Ashulia garment fire

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– Detective Branch of police arrested three persons late on Tuesday in connection with the fire that killed at least 111 workers at Tazreen Fashions Ltd in Ashulia.

A police official confirmed the arrests but did not reveal the names of the arrestees.

The DB will organize a press briefing at its Minto Road office in the capital Dhaka later in the day to inform details about the arrest.

At least 100 workers were also injured in the devastating fire at the garment factory at Nischintapur on Saturday.
