Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)- Bangladesh has confirmed three more cases of the deadly Influenza A (H1N1) virus, taking the total cases to 21, health officials said.

The three new cases were detected last week, recently returned from Canada and the United Kingdom, Head of the country’s Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) under the Health Ministry Mahmudur Rahman reportedly said.

Mr. Rahman also said one of the affected people is a male, another a woman and the third is a child.

Among the 21 cases detected so far, 17 recovered fully and others were under supervision of the health directorate at their respective homes and kept isolated from family members, he added.

The government has already urged people not to be panicked about swine flu as it has taken precautionary steps to combat the infectious disease.
