Three ports asked to hoist signal 3

Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)– The country’s three maritime ports have been advised to keep hoisted local cautionary signal number three as strong southwest monsoon developed over north Bay.

The ports are Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Mongla.

“Due to strong southwest monsoon over North Bay and adjoining area squally weather may continue over the maritime ports,” Bangladesh Metrological Department said in a special bulletin on Wednesday.

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to proceed with caution till further notice, it added.
