Dhaka, Bangladesh (BBN)-Bangladesh faced umpiring injustice twice during the second quarterfinal match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 in Melbourne on Thursday.
Meanwhile, common people including the students of Dhaka University torched the effigy of Umpire Ian Gould in the TSC intersection of the university protesting the injustice.

They also used shoes to hit the effigy and chanted slogan against the injustice and the umpire.

Ian Gould made injustice first when he gave not out to Indian opener Rohit Sharma at his 90’s.
Rohit was caught at deep but Pakistani Umpire Aleem Dar ruled the delivery as no ball as he claimed that the ball went past the waist of the batsman.
But the reply showed that the ball was under the waist when the batsman played the stroke.
Rohit then added 137 to propel India to 302 total.
The Bangladesh team then witnessed another awful injustice when Mahmudullah was given out caught in the deep.

Though, the reply clearly showed that the fielder touched the boundary board with his left foot, TV umpire, Steve Davis, gave judgement in support of fielder Shikhar Dhawan.

Thus, Mahmudullah who scored back to back centuries in previous two matches was sent back to pavilion.
