Train accident kills two in Siraganj

Siraganj, Bangladesh (BBN) – At least two people were killed and five others injured in a train accident in the country’s northern Sirajganj district on Friday, police said.

The crash occurred at a level crossing at the west side of the Bangabandhu Multipurpose Bridge in Sirajganj when Dhaka bound Chitra, an express train, from Khulna hit a microbus, a police official confirmed.

All the deceased and injured were returning to Dhaka by the microbus after visiting their relatives in Sirajganj, locals said.
